TRACE Project

Cristina Rego de Oliveira was selected by NOVA School of Law, Lisbon, to be part of TRACE Project (https://trace-illicit-money-flows.eu/) as a Researcher.

Gathering 17 partners from different Member States of the European Union, TRACE aims to develop Artificial Intelligence technology tools to identify and disrupt illicit money trails, thus helping to fight money laundering and the financing of organized crime and terrorism.

Within TRACE, a special focus will be given to the adaptation of those technologies to the Rule of Law and Human Rights particularly connected with data protection and electronic evidence collection, just as to the training of public agents in the usage of the created tools.
